WHO WE ARE
The OGEBC is a Public Industrial and Commercial Establishment (EPIC) under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and the Arts. Born on January 1, 2007 from the transformation of the National Agency for Archaeology and Protection of Historic Sites and Monuments, in operation since 1987, with the mission of: managing, enhancing, protecting, maintaining and securing the material cultural assets assigned to it throughout the national territory. Executive Decree No. 05-488 of December 22, 2005, supplemented by Executive Decree No. 12-89 of February 28, 2012 details the missions and attributes of the OGEBC.
The headquarters of the OGEBC is in Algiers, at the foot of the Casbah. The General Directorate occupies Dar Aziza; one of the palaces of the Medina of Algiers. Annexes have been created nearby to house the various technical services. The OGEBC is present, through its district managers, in 32 wilayas. The office continues to deploy as and when needs arise in terms of protection, maintenance, upkeep and development.
Why Choose Us
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using Content here, content here, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for lorem ipsum will uncover many websites still in their infancy.
